Important Links

Parents, we cover these with the kids but we all know sometimes that info does not make it home to you.

  • FAFSA: FAFSA website

  • NCAA Eligibility Center: https://web3.ncaa.org/ecwr3/

    • For all those who believe their child will play at the next level, please fill out the FREE NCAA eligibility center paperwork. The account is free to set up. Once they start receiving committable offers, you'll want to pay the required fee so the counselor can share official transcripts with the prospective schools and NCAA can verify eligibility. The website also has good information on core GPA and classes to take.

  • NCAA CORE GPA

    • Please download our Core GPA Calculator to Calculate your own Child's Core GPA! The Goal is 3.2 or Higher. AD wants me to Share this! I have not used it but will try it out soon!

  • CommunityService: https://www.floridastudentfinancialaidsg.org/SAPBFMAIN/SAPBFMAIN

    • Bright Futures requires 100 community service hours to qualify for their scholarship program. We want to provide as many opportunities for our student-athletes to earn scholarships. If student-athletes maintain a 3.0 unweighted GPA and earn 100 Community Service Hours then they will be on track to earn a scholarship depending their test scores.

Team Rules

Published by WOW Admin · Jul 22, 2026 · 5:24 PM teamessentials

Please help us in reinforcing our team rules! Buy in is crucial to our success as a team!

Players are expected to wear proper shoes at school. If shoes are needed please reach out to Coach Thompson. Wearing slides, crocs or sandals will result in punishment and parents will be notified.

Why Shoes? First impressions are everything. College coaches come to campus everyday at different times of the day. Coach Thompson tells the kids, "You only get 1 shot at a first impression."

Second, school is a learning environment. We want our kids to separate themselves from the rest of the student body. Wearing shoes and proper dress is one way for our kids to stand out positively.

Third, as a student athlete protecting your feet and having proper foot support is crucial. Talk to any podiatrist and they recommend shoes.

Team issued Pride Pack is required at team workouts. This is for 6th/7th period classes and anything after school. The purpose is to emphasize team over individual. Every player was issued 2 shirts and 2 shorts. We do laundry every day so the kids do not have to take anything home. The reason we went to this 2 years ago is because after Coach Thompson spoke with numerous college coaches and asked them what is one thing they see incoming freshman struggle with the most, the majority responded with structure/discipline and following team rules.

Every college requires kids to wear the same thing down to their socks. Most freshman struggle with this and it prevents them from getting on the field or getting an opportunity. We made the shift 2 seasons ago and you see the results that we had both on Varsity and Sub-Varsity. If your student has lost their shirt or shorts they can purchase additional at cost. ($20 for each, this is what we pay BSN).

Summer Workouts Checklist / OTI's

Published by WOW Admin · Jul 22, 2026 · 5:14 PM General teamessentials

Parents,
Please encourage your players to regularly check Hudl for updates and communication. As high school athletes, we are working to develop accountability, responsibility, and effective communication skills.

If a player is going to miss a workout, it is the player's responsibility to communicate directly with his position coach, coordinator, and me. We want our athletes to take ownership of their commitments and learn to communicate proactively.

We track attendance for all summer workouts and expect players to be present whenever possible. We understand that summer schedules include family vacations, camps, and other commitments. Players are permitted up to four missed summer workouts. After four absences, they will be assigned OTI's (Opportunities to Improve). This allows us to maintain consistency and hold everyone to the same standard.
We have 22 scheduled summer workouts, and our expectation is that players attend at least 18 of them (approximately 80%).

If you need to discuss a specific situation or concern, please feel free to message me privately.
